Golf Course Head Mechanic
Brook-Lea
Country Club is currently looking for a head mechanic to fill an open position.
The
head mechanic will report to the superintendent and be responsible for
inspecting, servicing, repairing and testing equipment, as well as monitoring
safety regulations around the shop area and record keeping of all maintenance
practices. Duties include sharpening and grinding reels and blades for all
golf course equipment, small engine and diesel engine repairs, routine
maintenance on all club vehicles, and some work on the golf course when needed.
Salary
to be determined based on experience.
Prior
mechanic or education experience required, golf course experience preferred but
not required.
Must
be 18 years of age to be considered.

Golf Course Head Mechanic

Under general supervision, the Mechanic repairs all equipment associated with course maintenance department, golf carts, utility vehicles and other requests as needed. Responsibilities also include planning and implementing a preventative maintenance schedule for equipment, training staff in safe use and proper care and maintenance of assigned equipment, and advising the Superintendent regarding major equipment failures and/or replacement needs. Also work on grounds and repairs to any and all buildings on property. Enjoy working in a friendly team environment with a brand new maintenance facility with a brand new large fleet of equipment. Individual must be a positive, energetic team player with a can do attitude. Mechanic will be an employee of Kemper Sports Management.
Position Details
Salary:
$40,000 based on experienceDuties: Inspect equipment for operating deficiencies. Repair and adjust equipment, golf carts, and utility vehicles as needed. Lubricate and service all course maintenance equipment, golf carts, and utility vehicles as necessary. Maintain service, repair and usage records on all equipment, golf carts, and utility vehicles. Establish safety procedures and maintain safety records for equipment operation. Demonstrate to staff the use of new equipment and train in safe operation and proper care and maintenance of assigned equipment. Plan and implement a preventative maintenance schedule for equipment. Advise the Superintendent regarding major equipment failures and/or replacement needs. Perform general overhauls for equipment as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience: Required to have a minimum of 3 years experience as a golf course mechanic.
